iStruct®

iStruct® is a state of the art layout, design, and structural analysis solution that combines layout/drafting, single member design, reporting, and an incredible real time 3D experience while supporting a selection of products, including I-joists, lumber, walls, rim board, hangers, etc.

 

The iStruct® suite consists of several applications that can be used independently of one another depending on what the customers needs. Current applications and functionality are:

isDesign® a single member sizing solution that allows users to size floor and roof joists, beams and posts by inputting span and load information.  Innovative tools allow selection of the most cost effective solution.

 

 

isPlan® a 3D layout and design solution that allows users to model an entire structure with 2D and 3D views.  isPlan® develops and transfers gravity loads through the entire structure and designs the structural members.  Robust import and export of pdf, dxf and dwg files combined with intuitive modelling and design tools ensure efficient and cost effective designs.

isOptimize® a material optimization and cutting application that allows users to import material lists from their model and perform cutting optimization against their inventory minimizing waste.  Final cut lists can be printed or exported for use by automated saws or import into point of sale systems.

 

isWall® allows users to model an individual wall, input openings and adjust that shape as desired.  Gravity and wind loads may be applied to the wall and iStruct® will analyze all appropriate members in the wall providing the user with immediate feedback.  Shop drawings, installation drawings, cut lists and design calculation sheets can be generated on demand.

isDesignCenter® is a design team management application that logs and tracks information about coming design requests. Local data is synchronized with the CSD web portal, allowing all users to see current data in-house, or from remote locations. Maximize efficiency and output by tracking and reporting performance metrics for turn rates, design times and square footages.
